Role description
Role Overview As a Design Engineer, you will work on product development, 3D modelling, engineering drawings, simulations, and design improvement from concept to prototype. Key Responsibilities Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings. Develop product concepts and mechanical components. Prepare assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs. Support design calculations, testing, and prototype development. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams. Improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Maintain design documentation and technical specifications.
What we're looking for
- Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles.
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of GD&T, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances.
- Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with FEA, CFD, product development, or prototyping is an advantage.
- Knowledge of simulation, automation, or advanced manufacturing is a plus.
